The Brief

Chestnut Mountain Resort is a year-round resort, known primarily as a destination for skiing and snowboarding during the winter season. From its elegant view of the Mississippi River Valley to its range of amenities, facilities, and services, Chestnut offers a convenient haven year-round.

Chestnut Mountain Resort wanted to maximize the available advertising dollars for their winter season and using a strong digital advertising approach that would allow them to track the effectiveness of their advertising.

Our Solution

Our digital marketing team evaluated past digital and search marketing campaigns that the resort had run during the winter season to determine their impact and identify opportunities that could be expanded.

Our team presented a recommendation to proceed using a combination of text ads, digital display, and video ads for the winter season all of which would be managed through Google AdWords.

The Result

The campaign performed much higher than anticipated and had much higher view and click-thru rates than the industry average. The video portion of the campaign, which ran on YouTube, generated an average view rate of 45.33% with the average cost per view only $0.02. For the search campaign impressions increased more than 43% and clicks increased 19% month over month.
